DescriptionExtremely rare link in the Ceratopsian lineage. One of the earliest ancestors of Triceratops, very close in appearance to Protoceratops, though much smaller and more gracile. The premaxillary teeth, Protoceratopsian skull, and sleek build separate it from Psittacosaurs. This little skeleton can show how amazingly small some of Triceratops’s ancestors really were. The replicas show every detail of the original fossil, down to the tiny cracks in the bone.
In the original the skull was nearly 94% complete, so it is very detailed and very high quality. The rest of the skeleton had about 40% restoration, but the tail, vertebral centra, hips, shoulders, arms, and legs were all in very good condition.
Don't buy or sell original fossils. Trade replicas, not originals!
