Description

Tapejara was a medium-sized pterosaur from the Early Cretaceous of South America. The different species of Tapejara show a great diversity in skull crests, and sexual dimorphism is very apparent. Tapejara wellnhoferi possesses a very tall and thin crest, similar to a paddle. Tapejara material is quite fragmentary and good specimens are rare. Consequently, replica Tapejara material is also rare. This Tapejara replica, molded in a natural looking, in-situ pose, is extremely high in detail and is a perfect teaching aid or display item. Furthermore, the size allows it to be displayed in smaller venues without cramping the exhibit floor.
