DescriptionAustralopithecus africanus is a hominid which age is between 3'3 and 2.5 million years ago in the Pleistocene. The A. africanus was more evolved than the Australophitecus afarensis, with a cranium more rounded and similar to human, and a larger brain relative to body size. This specimen was found in Makapansgat in Transvaal, South Africa.
