Australopithecus africanus is a hominid aging between 3.3 and 2.5 million years ago in the Pleistocene. The A. africanus was more evolved than the Australophitecus afarensis, with a cranium more rounded and similar to human, and a larger brain relative to body size. This copy is known Ms. Ples com discovered by Robert Broom in 1947 at Sterkfontein, South Africa.
