DescriptionHomo neanderthalensis is characterized by a large cranial capacity, solid and robust body structure, a low forehead, face, undershot, the upper jaw browridges outgoing and very pronounced. Emerged for at least 150,000 years in the Lower Palaeolithic and suddenly became extinct about 25,000 years ago.
The skull of the female is reconstructed coming from Upper Pleistocene found in Forbes Quarry, Gibraltar.
