Eryops is an extinct amphibian whose remains are found mainly in Archer County in Texas but have found fossils in New Mexico and in parts of the eastern United States. Measured between 1.50 and 2 meters long, making it one of the larger animals of its time. He lived during the Lower Permian and despite that it has no known descendants, is one of the best known amphibians of the Permian. The Eryops is a key example in the adaptations of the movement of the aquatic environment to land.
